Ontario Issues 1,112 New PR Invitations in Latest OINP Draws
Ontario has conducted five new draws under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on March 25, 2026, issuing a total of 1,112 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Permanent Residence. The invitations were distributed across several regions including the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Southwestern Ontario, Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, and Northern Ontario.
🔹 Key Highlights:
• Total Invitations Issued: 1,112
• GTA: 431 invitations
• Southwestern Ontario: 251 invitations
• Central Ontario: 199 invitations
• Eastern Ontario: 174 invitations
• Northern Ontario: 57 invitations
Candidates were invited under Employer Job Offer streams, including the Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills categories, which continue to be key pathways for workers already connected to Ontario employers.
As a licensed immigration professional, what I see stands out in this draw is the continued regional targeting approach. Ontario is clearly focusing on distributing immigration across different regions instead of concentrating only in Toronto.
For prospective applicants, this means having a genuine job offer and aligning with regional labour shortages is becoming more important than ever. Candidates who are flexible about location and who work in in-demand sectors like hospitality, healthcare, trades, and construction will likely see stronger opportunities through programs like the OINP.
This also reinforces a key reality of Canadian immigration today: employer-driven pathways are increasingly becoming the most reliable route to Permanent Residence.
📌 If you are planning your pathway to Canada, understanding these targeted provincial programs is critical.
